Power Roller Accumulator

The introduction of 796 PRA, Powered Roller Accumulator, conveyor has revolutionized the automated conveyor industry. Roach Conveyor’s powered roller uses motorized rollers to drive the conveyors eliminating the need for drive belts, chains or line shafts.

Each zone of the 796 PRA is driven by a 24 VDC powered roller. The motor is contained inside a 1.9” roller which turns the roller. The rollers in each zone are connected to the powered roller with 3/16” dia. Polyurethane belts. One of the advantages is that the section is controlled with a photo eye and need only be active while product is present which reduces the noise level, conserves energy and reduces wear and tear.

Installing the 796 PRA can be as easy as plugging it into a standard 120 volt outlet or can be incorporated into complex systems. The 7” x 1-3/4” x 12 ga.formed steel channel bed frame, which is similar to other conveyors, can be easily coupled with existing conveyor.

Powered Roller Accumulator Curve

To compliment the 796 PRA, Roach Conveyors has also designed a powered roller curve, the 796 PRAC. The 796 PRAC is also an accumlating conveyor and is driven by the same 1.9” powered roller. The 2.5” tapered tread rollers are connected by the same 3/16” dia. Polyurethane belts to the powered roller mounted underneath the tread rollers. Like the 796 PRA, the zones in the 796 PRAC are controlled with a photo eye and also need only be active while product is present.
