Push Back Racking is a pallet storage method that allows pallets to be stored from 2 to 6 deep on either side of an aisle, thereby storing pallet in a LIFO system.
Push Back Storage Racks – Fraizier is a type of pallet storage that allows pallets to be stored from 2 to 6 deep on either side of an aisle, giving businesses a higher storage density than other forms of racking. A pushback rack system is a LIFO system, normally composed of an inclined rail section that extends the full depth of the storage lane. Pallets rest on a series of nested carts that roll on the either a c channel or tube constructed rail system. By using a push back rack system, you can double or triple your storage compared to standard pallet rack or double deep racking systems. When the first pallet is loaded from the front, it sits on the first cart in the lane. The second pallet is then loaded, and the first pallet "pushes back" behind it one position. The second pallet is then either placed on the rail in a two deep system or placed on the next cart in a 3-6 deep system. This process continues until the lane is full up to six pallets deep.
Thomas Conveyor partners with Frazier Rack to provide high quality Push Back Storage Racks. Combining the high density of drive-in and the selectivity of single deep rack, glide-in “push-back” storage is Frazier’s patented system of enveloping wheeled carts that glide on sloping rails. For productivity, selectivity, density, and economy, glide-in “push-back” dominates the industry. Contact Thomas Conveyor for more information.
