Line Shaft Driven Live Roller Conveyor for Light Duty Applications
The Roach Model 738LS has gained widespread usage with its unique design. Line shaft conveyors are powered by a drive shaft that spans the full length of the conveyor and transmits power to the rollers via a drive spool and belt. When back pressure is applied to the conveyed product, the spools driving the rollers will slip on the shaft allowing the product to accumulate with a minimum amount of back pressure. Applications include transportation, minimum pressure accumulation, zero pressure accumulation, and sortation. Roach Conveyor line shaft conveyors are available in many configurations, with options that include diverters, spurs, urethane belt transfers, spring assisted gates, blade stops, and roller brakes. Line shaft conveyors are an optimum solution for conveyance of light totes, containers, cartons & box loads (up to 15lbs/roller), at speeds of 25-120 FPM. They are designed for flat-bottomed, evenly distributed loads, such as those found in distribution and warehousing, food packaging and parcel handling. Clean, dry, oil free environments are the ideal environments to maximize line shaft performance.
