TYPE: Bulk Handling Conveyors

MODEL: SERIES ECTR CONVEYORS

The Series ECTR is an industrial duty enclosed frame conveyor with CEMA troughing and return idlers.   Used when environmental control is needed.

Enclosed Belt Conveyors are designed for the safe, gentle, and efficient handling of dry, bulk materials. With today’s tight safety regulations and environmental concerns, completely enclosed conveyors are becoming more common. Whether your goal is to reduce environmental contaminants, provide a safer working environment for employees, or to maintain the integrity of your products by reducing contamination, the Rapat ECTR line of heavy-duty conveyors can handle your bulk product.

Features

  • Economic design makes enclosed conveyors ideal for conveying short and long distances; enclosure keeps dust and emissions contained within the enclosure for a safer, cleaner work environment
  • Inspection doors are located at the head and tail, as well as throughout the enclosure, to provide quick, simple access to inspection, cleanout and maintenance
  • Dusty, dirty or dangerous products can be moved without affecting the environment immediately surrounding the conveyor
  • Bolt On Bottom Covers; Can be supplied with or without bottom covers for a partially enclosed or totally enclosed system
  • Tool-less Top Covers are easily removed by releasing an over-center clamp and removing the hinged splice cover
  • Troughing Roller System is designed to reduce friction and shape the belt into a "U" trough, allowing for higher capacities and lower maintenance
  • Heavy Duty Industrial Grade Bearings, Drives and Motors
  • Head Pulley: lagged for positive drive without slippage
  • Adjustable Take Up; convenient belt adustment with all components externally mounted
  • Off the Shelf CEMA Standard Pulleys and Idlers, ready available for quick replacement as necessary
  • Conveyor frame is built in 10' sections for easy handling, shipping and installation. Each 10' frame section is jig welded with structural angle flanges to ensure a strong, square fit consistent on every section.
  • Head and tail shafts are sealed with UHMW and felt seals to prevent excess dust and product from escaping through the shafts

Applications

  • In today’s modern water and wastewater treatment plant a belt conveyor can be used in a variety of applications including conveying grit, screenings and dewatered or dried bio solids.
  • Enclosed conveyors are used in industries such as Chemical, Minerals Processing, Food, Wood Products and Wastewater Treatment

Options

  • Channel Support Truss can be used to support the Sereis ECTR when shorter spans are required between support locations
  • W-Beam Support Truss are designed to span between support locations and meet site loading requirements. Walkways can be supported from the truss as required.
  • Box Support Truss, a welded structural steel, box shaped support truss is designed to span between support locations and meet site loading requirements.  Walkways can be supported from the truss, as required.
  • Gallery Support Truss, a square, welded structural steel support truss that a belt conveyor and any optional walkways can sit within.  They are also designed to span between ground support locations and can be enclosed with sheeting or left open.
  • Transfer Towers; structural steel support towers, where one conveyor transitions and feeds into another.  Designed for each application, they can include stairways, handrails and platforms.
  • Support Bents; structural steel support frames designed and fabricated to support a conveyor at an elevation adn meet the site specific loading requirements.
  • Walkways; Platforms with a safety handrail that is supported off the side of a conveyor that a person can walk along, providing maintenance and access to the length of the conveyor.  They can be located on one or both sides of a conveyor.
  • Service Platforms; Platforms for safely accessing and maintaining key areas of a conveyor
  • Fixed Tripper; a device that allows for material to be discharged prior to the end of the conveyor
  • Scavenger Drag; an integrated drag conveyor mounted below the belt conveyors' return iders.  Designed to make the conveyor self-cleaning.  Often used in dusty applications.
  • Gravity Take Ups; A device that automatically adjusts using a counterweighted pulley to maintain proper tension on the belt.  Generally used on longer conveyors where mechanical take ups are not practical.
  • Chutes/Transitions; customized chutes and transitions are designed to move product to and from conveyors to other conveyors and process equipment.  These are available with a variety of wear liner options depending on the material being conveyed.
  • Impact Beds; series of cushioned bars used to absorb loading forces under a conveyor belt in the loading zone.  These vary depending on the material being conveyed and the distance product is being dropped onto the belt.
  • Skirting; replaceable rubber seals that contact the conveyor belt to contain the product through the loading area.  Adjustable, and can be lined with a variety of wear liners.
  • Mine Duty and Engineered Class Pulleys; Mine duty pulleys are heavier duty than standard pulleys for harsh environments.  When mine duty pulleys will not meet the required belt tensions and durability needed for an application, pulleys can be custom engineered to meet higher demands.
  • Belt cleaners; devices that use a tentioned blade mounted on a supporting structure to remove material that clings to the belt beyond the normal discharge point.  The material, size and tension are determined by the product and its characteristics. These are often mounted on the inside of the discharge hood so product cleaned off the belt falls into the discharge.
  • Washbox; a device that uses pressurized water and a series of belt cleaners to clean especially tacky material from a belt.
  • Belt Scale; A device that weighs or mresures the amount of product moved on a belt conveyor.  These vary per application and accuracy requirements.
  • Belt Magnet; a device for removing ferrous metals from the product as it moves on a belt conveyor in order to prevent damage to downstream equipment.
  • Water Deluge Lines; Pressurized water lines with diffusers that can be attached to a conveyor to flood the product with water in order to suppress dust and extinguish potential fires.  This is a unique option for specific applications.
  • Grease Lines; allow for greasing bearings from remote locations.
