Knockdown stairs are stairs where the treads and stringers are field assembled. Treads must be bolted to the stringers and a guard rail/handrail assembly is required. This application is used when lifting a one piece stair is not practical. This can be a cost effective alternative to welded stair systems.
Knockdown stair systems are heavy duty industrial stairs that are economical and modular. They are easily assembled on the job site and can be installed at nearly any facility, including areas where space is limited.

The standard configuration allows for a 36" wide stair tread and a closed tread/open riser design that is IBC code compliant and meets OSHA safety standards. Custom tread widths are available.
OSHA Knockdown Stairway
Our OSHA Series knockdown stairway is designed to conform with Federal OSHA and Cal-OSHA requirements for fixed industrial stairway applications. The 10" treads have an adjustable rise between 7 1/4" and 8", with an angle to climb between 37° and 42°. Custom tread widths are available.

IBC Knockdown Stairway
IBC knockdown stairways are designed to meet or exceed the International Building Code adopted by many cities and states when used in storage and warehousing facilities. The stair treads are 12" deep with two widths. The expansive climbing slope varies between 27° and 33° with a 6" to 7" rise per step. All fasteners and brackets are provided for a quick two man assembly process.
