Variable Pressure Live Roller Accumulation Conveyor for Light Duty Accumulation Applications
Roach Model 138VP accumulates goods safely and with minimum back pressure. In a distribution or manufacturing operation, accumulation conveyors are commonly used to transport and accumulate cartons or unit loads so that they are efficiently queued up and fed into sorting, wrapping, palletizing, strapping or various others processes. Model 138VP is the simplest method ever devised for accumulating cartons, boxes, etc. The basic design eliminates complicated adjustments and allows a minimum of 2-1/2% back pressure. This conveyor is reversible. Ideally, packages of uniform weight can be accumulated temporarily using pneumatic package stops.
Minimum pressure conveyor is typically comprised of a belt driven roller conveyor with some type of adjustment to allow for the drive of rollers to be increased or reduced. This is seen with a belt driven roller conveyor with knurled thumb adjustability of a spring that lowers and raises the belt driving against the rollers carrying the product. This ensures that when product is driven together at the end of the line, the pressure of the upstream boxes will not crush the first carton to reach the end.
