Rapat Series ETR Enclosed Belt Conveyor

The Rapat Series ETR is an industrial duty totally enclosed frame conveyor with CEMA troughing idlers and a self-cleaning UHMW slide belt return

TYPE: Bulk Handling Conveyors

MODEL: Rapat Series ETR Conveyor

The Series ETR is an industrial-duty, completely encased frame conveyor with CEMA troughing idlers and a self-cleaning UHMW slide belt return.

Designed for extreme environments, the product is fully protected from the elements due to its fully enclosed frame, which also provides dust emission reduction.  Its heavy-duty construction ensures long life, while its competitive pricing offers cost efficiency, both providing longevity for your operation.

Features

  • Removable easy access cowling provides easy access for maintenance; access doors and removable hoods also allow access throughout the conveyor body, head and tail sections quickly and easily.
  • Troughing roller design improves performance by reducing friction, and allowing for less belt wear and tear
  • Rapat's roughing roller idlers hold belt "trough" shape better than other idler styles; allowing for better fill capacities and transfer rates
  • Bolted, weather tight positive seal top covers and flanges
  • Pillowblock bearings are externally mounted at all terminal shafts
  • Angle flanged inlet assures proper flow of material onto belt
  • Inspection door is located for easy idler service and inspection
  • Felt seals and UHMW guides are located on the tail section
  • Heavy duty acme threaded screw type take up adjusters with non-corrosive adjustment nuts
  • Trussed bearing supports evenly distribute head shaft load along conveyor frame
  • Carrying idlers distribute the load evenly for reduced belt wear
  • Conveyor belt returns on a UHMW lined bottom cover. A splice protector drags any escapee material back to the conveyors' tail section
  • Top covers are easily removed by releasing an over-center clamp and removing the hinged splice cover

Applications

  • In today’s modern water and wastewater treatment plant a belt conveyor can be used in a variety of applications including conveying grit, screenings and dewatered or dried bio solids.
  • Enclosed conveyors are used in industries such as Chemical, Minerals Processing, Food, Wood Products and Wastewater Treatment

Options

  • Channel Support Truss can be used to support the Series ETR when shorter spans are required between support locations
  • W-Beam Support Truss are designed to span between support locations and meet site loading requirements. Walkways can be supported from the truss as required.
  • Box Support Truss, a welded structural steel, box-shaped support truss is designed to span between support locations and meet site loading requirements.  Walkways can be supported from the truss, as required.
  • Gallery Support Truss, a square, welded structural steel support truss that a belt conveyor and any optional walkways can sit within.  They are also designed to span between ground support locations and can be enclosed with sheeting or left open.
  • Transfer Towers; structural steel support towers, where one conveyor transitions and feeds into another.  Designed for each application, they can include stairways, handrails and platforms.
  • Support Bents; structural steel support frames designed and fabricated to support a conveyor at an elevation and meet site-specific loading requirements.
  • Walkways; Platforms with a safety handrail that is supported off the side of a conveyor that a person can walk along, providing maintenance and access to the length of the conveyor.  They can be located on one or both sides of a conveyor.
  • Service Platforms; Platforms for safely accessing and maintaining key areas of a conveyor
  • Fixed Tripper; a device that allows for material to be discharged prior to the end of the conveyor
  • Reloading Tail SectionLightweight, non-abrasive products can be pulled back to the tail section via the Series ETR UHMW slide belt return and then moved back onto the carry side of the belt
  • Tail Discharge TransitionHigh-density, abrasive products can be transported back to the tail section via the Series ETR UHMW slide belt return and spouted away to be redistributed.
  • Gravity Take UpsA device that automatically adjusts using a counterweighted pulley to maintain proper tension on the belt. These are generally used on longer conveyors where mechanical take-ups are no longer practical.
  • Chutes/TransitionsCustomized chutes and transitions are designed to move product to and from conveyors to other conveyors and process equipment. These are available with a variety of wear liner options depending on the material being conveyed.
  • Impact BedsA series of cushioned bars used to absorb loading forces under a conveyor belt in the loading zone. These vary depending on the material being conveyed and the distance of the product being dropped onto the belt.
  • SkirtingReplaceable rubber seals that contact the conveyor belt to contain product through the loading area. These are adjustable and can be lined with a variety of wear liners.
  • Mine Duty & Engineered Class PulleysMine duty pulleys are heavier duty than standard pulleys and designed to handle harsh environments. When mine duty pulleys still don’t meet the required belt tension and durability requirements of an application, custom pulleys can be engineered to meet these demands.
  • Belt CleanersA device that uses a tensioned blade mounted on a supporting structure to remove material that clings to the belt beyond the designated discharge area. The material, size and tension are determined by the product and its characteristics. These are often mounted inside the discharge hood so the product cleaned off the belt falls into the discharge area.
  • WashboxA device that uses pressurized water and a series of belt cleaners to clean especially tacky material from a belt.
  • Belt ScaleA device that weighs or measures the amount of product moved on a belt conveyor. These vary per application and accuracy requirements.
  • Belt magnetA device for removing ferrous metals from the product as it moves on a belt conveyor in order to prevent damage to downstream equipment. Size and mounting location vary per application.
  • Water Deluge Lines; Pressurized water lines with diffusers that can be attached to a conveyor to flood the product with water in order to suppress dust and extinguish potential fires.  This is a unique option for specific applications.
  • Grease Lines; allow for greasing bearings from remote locations.
  • Custom Finishes; conveyors are available in a variety of finishes including painted mild steel, galvanized steel, 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel.
  • Hinged Top Covers; hinged top covers are available for easier, enclosed access
  • Dust Control PickUps; a duct mounted at a transition point along the conveyor to a dust collection system.
  • Zero Speed Switch; an electrical device that alerts the operator if a specific pulley has stopped turning; can be wired into a plant PLC.
  • Belt Alignment Switches; electrical devices that shut off a conveyor or alerts the operator if the conveyor belt becomes misaligned. Can be wired into a plant PLC.
  • Emergency Shut Off Switches; Electrical device(s) that shuts off the conveyor from any point along the length of the conveyor for operator safety
  • Plugged Chute SwitchAn electrical device mounted in the discharge hood of a conveyor that shuts the conveyor off if it becomes plugged with material for any reason.
