Recently, a custom metal coil slitter approached Thomas Conveyor & Equipment Company to construct a manufacturing room for a new product line. The customer required an enclosed production area that would provide a clean environment, noise reduction, and security.
Thomas Conveyor presented a pre-fabricated modular wall system to the customer. Our engineers explained that the panels are constructed with insulating polystyrene cores ranging in thickness from 2” to 12” providing un-matched thermal efficiency.
The core is then laminated between a painted galvanized steel or stainless steel “skin” to provide superior structural integrity. A wide range of “skin” textures and colors are available to meet aesthetic objectives. The panels are made to order per individual project eliminating unnecessary waste.
The “tongue and groove” panel design allow for a quick and clean installation. This project required a panel height of 21’ and Thomas Conveyor provided a one piece panel that allowed the customer to reach to the roof deck. The modular wall panels are easily cut to accept any bar joists, pipes or HVAC ducts. Two access doors were supplied and installed to meet fire code requirements.
The lead time for completion of the project was three (3) weeks. Thomas Conveyor & Equipment was able to provide and install the pre-fabricated wall system under budget and within schedule.
Our engineers have also included mezzanines in designs to utilized unused “air space”. This allows for additional square footage for expansion. Pre-fabricated wall panels are a quick, economical and efficient way to create new valuable production, office or storage space.
